3. What is the premise of Defiance?
Both the television show and the game will be set on Earth in the future (30 years from now) following the end to a violent 9 year war known as the “Pale Wars”. The game will be set outside of San Francisco, while the television show will be set just outside of St. Louis, MO. The town of the television show is called Defiance and the world is post-apocalyptic following an alien invasion. The show will follow the lives of the town inhabitants, some of the alien and human population, who now inhabit the town together in a very hard-western sort of look and feel (think Firefly meets Bladerunner). Both the game and the show will work in conjunction with content from one or both being influenced by events in each. Players of the game may have opportunity to influence the show.
